Laurence Demaison

http://www.laurencedemaison.com/

The photographic work of Laurence Demaison is exclusively constituted by self-portraits. The used techniques - shot, development, print - are analogicals and realized by the author. No particular manipulation intervenes beyond the shot (except chemical inversion of films for some series)

Sarah Dobai

Sarah Dobai’s photographs, like her video and film work, are part of an unidentified environment made up of a repertoire of suspended atmospheres, situations or actions. When the human figure is present, it is on a casting basis, to "personify" a particular situation or given moment in a relationship of equivalence. Landscapes and people seem to meet up suddenly in "another dimension" where a process determined by the artist with extreme precision, and of which we are not immediately aware, is activated.

Elisa Sighicelli

Elisa Sighicelli’s photographs are mounted on light boxes. The subject - interiors or landscapes, never figures - is always caught between the light captured by the camera’s chamber and the artificial light that alters it in a particular spot. If the interiors are deserted, the landscapes are often deserts and the viewpoint is more or less the same, at ground-level, skimming the horizon. The Icelandic landscapes or the Kjölur Desert, like the hotel rooms, leave us nevertheless with an impression of strange familiarity, as if Elisa Sighicelli’s light boxes could serve as "black boxes" opening out onto the depths of our psychic space, our interior territory.

Michel Huelin

Michel Huelin readily points out : "One can never really be sure of what one is looking at". And his work proves it : paintings and videos are floating images of our everyday surroundings, constantly navigating between macroscopic (identifiable objects) and microscopic (cellular elements). This state of non-definition draws the eye into a fluid world, between real and virtual, produced by a mix of computer-generated images elaborated by the artist and reworked in brush-applied alkyd resins. This toing-and-froing is also suggested in his videos, sometimes narrative, sometimes kinetic, based on repetitive sequences or the alternation of contracted and extended forms. Michel Huelin associates painting and video in an experimental way : it is a question of broadening one’s perception of the world in all ways possible, from the material to the immaterial, from the visible to the invisible, from the surface of things to their reflection.

Halloweeeeeeeeen

So I called out from work, cause I don't work on Halloween, hell no....
And I gave out candy and decorated my house best I could...and guess what happened?
SO I was running out of candy and was only giving out one candy per child right, so everyone can at least have one....and this little snot of a kid stands their and looks at me and says "Hey give me more candy!" I was like wtf?????? So I told him hey you only get one don't be selfish!
So he leaves and tells on his mom that I'm mean hahahahhaha, So she tells him, "hey I told you to stop asking for more candy!"
I was floored by this little demons behavior! first of all I'm not a fan of kids....no I don't have that mother maternal shit in me ok. I'm so tired of parents trying to be their kids best friend and not parenting! FUCKING get a clue and be a parent! I'm sorry but I would have popped that kids mouth and made him apologize. Talk shit all you want but that kind of behavior does not fly with me. AND then parents wonder why their kids are running a mock and being out of control when their older. HELLO maybe if your weren't too busy trying to be his/her best friend then maybe they would have actually learned some respect for you and other people.

But anyway that shit was funny!!!!
